England lose to France in World Cup quarter final.
Today's Carry On Langport advent window is dedicated to the England Squad who played valiantly last night but lost to our neighbours across the Channel 2-1.
Meanwhile, FIFA are this morning refusing to comment on rumours the referee was brought in from the Stoke St Gregory netball team last minute to cover for a colleague who was taken ill
Here across Langport and Huish Episcopi several venues showed the match including the Black Swan where a large crowd turned out to watch.
While we admit that the following short video filmed there last night may offend, we feel we have to show it to demonstrate that even when playing the French in a world cup quarter final, die-hard England fans still manage to find the time to take a customary dig at the Germans.

Langport Town and Huish Parish councils are in the process of putting together a survey which will go out in February. They want us, Joe Public, to help come up with some of the topics and questions in the poll.
There was a public meeting about it last week but this is for those who, for one reason or another, couldn't make it or didn't know about it.
Time is short though, you have to e-mail your thoughts in by Wednesday next week.
