Just a warning to anyone new to Langport or who hasn't experienced roadworks here before (how can you not have?!)....
What you're reading above doesn't really do the experience justice.
Don't forget the number 54 bus coming through from both directions, bin day, van deliveries at local shops plus the people who stop on the road outside charitiy shops to deliver a small lampshade and a saucepan - then it really does get entertaining!
Add to that the hundreds of drivers who come from an ever-growing Somerton to get fuel at the garage or groceries from Tesco or commuting to Taunton and it can become a right old carry on.
Let's hope the overnight closures soften the blow eh - and maybe even slow down the little bastards in their souped-up cars that race down the road overnight.
