Up the club and down the Arms!

Two charity gigs happening tomorrow folks!

Up the rec we go for this one:

Then down at the Langport Arms they're busy fundraising too:

[No idea what the Muppets have got to do with it]

On static bikes in the old La Roche restaurant, through the end of the courtyard, staff and customers are doing a 24-hour bikeathon.

All in aid of The Royal British Legion, The Stroke Association and Prostate Cancer Research they start at midday tomorrow [Sat] and finish at the same time on Sunday.

Go and give them some encouragement or pop some cash in to the collection box or go to one of the many cyclists' 'just giving' pages and make an online donation by clicking HERE

On the quiet, we've also been asked if anyone going down to the Arms to cheer them on over the weekend might be able to drop off a few tubes of Proctosedyl or Daktacourt.

We believe around halfway through the event, several of those taking part will be needing at least one of the 'under the counter' ointments.

It follows an incident at a previous bikeathon at the hotel when one participant who asked not to be named [Gary Grocott] used vinegar from the pickled egg jar at the bar to soothe his saddle-sore rear end.

"Worst case I've ever come across" said Doctor Balai from his retirement home in Pitney, "the silly sod put a pickled egg up there as well."

At the time, Carry On Langport received unconfirmed reports that the item in question was later snuck back in the jar.

Yep, that's the one!

Anyhow, good luck to all taking part in both the club's charity footy match and the Arms bikeathon!

👍

That's your Friday bulletin folks!
