To Carry On Langport,

Say anything about my family again and I'll chase you down the road with the tongs as well.

Yours,

You Know Who [thanks for not showing the video]

To the local blog,

We are so sorry for the delay but we have finally done it. It's gone.

Hope everybody appreciates our hard work including the number 54 bus drivers, the bloke who regularly parks outside Boots for its deliveries and the people who - shock horror - have had to park across the road and WALK across with their donations to the charity shop.

Normal service has been resumed! Well....until work starts on the rebuild.

But until then, it's done, it's gone!

Yours faithfully,

The A303 Sparkford/Podimore Widening Team

Dear C.O.L,

My husband and I are delighted to hear that plans are finally in the pipeline to extend the hugely oversubscribed Langport Surgery on North Street.

It's about time. I've lost count of the number of times Richard has been stretched out across the aquarium in reception to have his piles looked at.

Last time an angel fish jumped out and almost cured them.

What wonderful news!

Best wishes,

Patricia Routledge.

Dear Blogger,

Just to say that despite local rumours, we have not yet secured permission to convert the Langport Arms, the Dolphin and St Mary's Church in to HMOs but we are working on it.

Many thanks,

All the team at ABP.

To that bloke who does the blog,

Can I just say thank you to all the people who have donated to my crowdfunder in recent weeks.

I am delighted to say that they have now raised enough money for me to attend the 'chase a cheeky customer down the road with the kebab tongs' olympics in Istanbul.

I shall be leaving your wonderful town before the end of the year and hope my replacement will have your approval.

Thanks again.

Chubbies.

Dear Carry On Langport,

Here at the primary school - the sign says Huish Episcopi but us locals have always called it Langport Primary School - we had a bit of a fright this week when that bloke who breeds birds down at the end of town managed to let quite a few of them escape again.

One of our pupils even managed to get what happened on Wednesday on film....

Shocking eh? The last time the kids ran down the street like that was when a genealogist turned up to do an inbreeding inspection in 1980.

Luckily nobody's been seriously injured.

Regards,

Mr Coles
