In keeping with what Prime Minister Andy Burnham's done today in Manchester, we're delighted to announce we've opened a 2nd newsroom upstairs in the Hanging Chapel from where we'll be posting 2-3 days per week.
"11 years of operating from the Cheapside office has made this blog rather town centre-centric" said a spokesman.
"So just like 10 Downing Street, we're also moving north....well....northish anyway....the boundaries around here are so cock-eyed it's hard to know what's what"
Asked whether the new base would affect already congested roads either side of the chapel, a householder on The Hill played down the suggestion,
"Can't be any worse than how some of the freemasons park" she told reporters.
