Carvery row rumbles on at Arms

 Outlawed pudding still being served

The Food Standards Agency, The Guinness Book of Records and Huish Episcopi Parish Council have all launched independent enquiries into the carvery at the Langport Arms.
The buffet service caused controversy last summer when management admitted openly that they still serve Black Forest Gateau. The 1970s dessert was outlawed by the EU and the United Nations in 1983.
The Arms is now said to be the only establishment in Britain where the gateau is still available.
In a seperate development it's been revealed that the Arms, which has been for sale since the Battle of Langport, is also being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive. It comes after 8 of the 14 thousand plates it keeps on the wall in the ground floor bar fell off and hit at least 4 sets of knees during a recent gathering of Langport Freemasons.
