Editor apologises after quiz blunder
Last week's competition which asked which local pub landlord was in the above photo drew a huge response from readers, all keen to win a free group weekend at The Grange.
However, the competition has had to be declared void after it emerged the picture was in fact the former vicar at Huish Episcopi on his first night in The Angel at Langport (having sold Huish Church Hall on e-bay to pay for it.)
Apologies to all who entered but congratulations to current vicar the Reverend Jess Pitman who successfully identified her former colleague. However, Reverend Pitman has turned down the prize saying living at Huish Vicarage is pretty much the same as being at The Grange anyway and she's asked that we pass on the giveaway to somebody who needs it more. So the vouchers have now been sent by first-class post to the staff room at Huish Academy.
The Principal at Huish Episcopi Academy, pictured, said his staff would be "delighted" with their gift.
