Thursday deadline for council hopefuls
In relation to an article published on Carry On Langport on April 1st entitled 'Town council election next month or not?' - note that Huish Episcopi finds itself in exactly the same position as Langport. It too will have the same parish council with no election on May 7th if 12 nominees' names aren't submitted by this Thursday at 4pm with South Somerset District Council in Yeovil. So if you are hoping to stand and haven't got the forms filled in yet for either Langport Town or Huish Parish councils - get a move on.
