Kirstie Allsopp at Langport?
TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp, above, says Channel 4 may shoot the first episode of the new series of Relocation Relocation at Langport after it emerged at least half of the town's businesses plan to move or expand in the coming weeks. We understand (not yet confirmed) The Kitchen is to do more shifts at The Wharf (it's already there at weekends) and that the Thai Restaurant at The Wharf is relocating to Rumours. We wish them all well.
Other changes are also in the pipeline: Heaven's Gate says it may move its cattery to The Happy Garden Chinese Takeaway on Bow Street, Anne Summers is taking over the window displays at Langport Stores, the cucumber section at Tesco is moving to Somerton Police Station and the vicar's hollyhocks are going back into her greenhouse after 'an incident' last week. There are even unconfirmed reports that The Angel may relocate to the old village hall opposite St Mary's Church after an 'under-the-counter' deal on E-bay.
But local postman Pablo Ridgebetter, pictured above delivering mail to homes in Courtfield yesterday, has complained bitterly about the proposed changes.

"It's bad enough trying to find the only family in Garden City not related to their neighbours," he said
"but this is going to make life intolerable."

Miss Allsopp told Carry On Langport she was "looking forward" to visiting the town and has apparently already booked tickets for the Sunday night 'staff training' at the Tesco canteen. (Use the side door Kirstie)
It's widely thought Langport's relocation 'bug' started when award-winning hardware store Boilertec moved along Bow Street eight times last month.
