Above: Langport and Huishers flock home...
The village burglar at Huish says he's had one of his best weeks yet with dozens of households left empty in recent days as locals spent time partying at the Glastonbury Festival.
"I've had to build an extension on the house just to fit in all the flat screen TVs I got" said Horace Higginbottom as he stood in the queue for the flight to Malaga at Bristol Airport this morning. But he denied taking blow-up dolls and frozen kippers from the lock-up above the Hanging Chapel, "I think that was the football club" he said.
Meanwhile, Emily Eavis says she's "delighted" that the BNP and the Klu Klux Klan enjoyed Kanye West's performance on the main stage on Saturday and - in an exclusive 'scoop' for Carry On Langport - she told us she was hoping to book Gary Glitter and Rolf Harris next year.
Back in Langport and Huish, there were reports of tumble weed blowing through several pubs and restaurants over the weekend but hundreds of locals flocked home on Sunday and all's well once again.
In other news, this High Ham business woman says she's "thrilled" that Michael Eavis has agreed to trial her new toilet system next year.
We've also had reports that Huish Vicar Jess Pitman didn't turn up for the service at St Mary's on Sunday amid allegations she was moonlighting with the choir on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night.
The Church of England press office is refusing to comment.
Finally, after a poll of Carry On Langport readers who went to the 'Pilton Pop Festival' - it's been proclaimed that the best band of the weekend was Bristol (and High Ham)-based Dr Meaker whose contagious brand of music even had hedge-monkeys regaining consciousness to join in the dancing.
Pictured: Dr Meaker, who played at the festival's Glade Stage on Sunday, have been voted 'band of Glastonbury 2015' by Carry On Langport readers who saw them perform.
Nice one Clive.
