Look who's moved in...
Langport and Huish's 'newest' business opens its doors this weekend. In fact, it's not really new - it's just relocated. No, we're not talking about Boilertec. The Thai Mango restaurant formerly at The Wharf on the riverside will be delighting us with it tasty offerings from today (Sat) at the premises next to The Kelways Inn previously occupied by Rumours Tapas Bar.
It's hard to keep up isn't it? There've been so many changes, relocations, openings and expansions in recent months - and we thought even more were on the way but in the last hour Wetherspoons has denied it's buying The Angel. A Wetherspoons spokeswoman told us they "would be mad" to buy a crumbling old pub. Yes, Wetherspoons - that's what everyone in Huish Episcopi told the last vicar (and a current church warden) but did they listen?
Carry On Langport wishes the Thai Mango Restaurant and Bar well.
Several of the restaurant's new waitresses had a training session at Mary Coombes health and beauty parlour yesterday.
