Clangers Needed.

Come and play the vicar's jukebox.

Rather than copy what every other organisation or charity is doing and bring out a 2016 calendar this month, the bellringers at St Mary's Church in Huish Episcopi have decided to bring out a local map to mark the new year and encourage new people to learn the art.

The map features a number of Somerset landmarks and the back drop has kindly been provided by local farmer Jake Fleecebottom - above - who rings the tenor at Huish Tower.

These Huish bellringers say they're delighted with the 2016 map and say Jake really is the only one who can handle a two-ton clapper.

Anyone who wants to get involved - Christian or not - can take part. So go on...why not have a go at playing the vicar's jukebox?

Practice nights are on Wednesdays at 7.30pm which also happens to be the worst night of the week for the village burglar...you'll not see a single window open on any house in St Mary's Park.
