We ask Langporters how they'll be voting in the June referendum...
With polling day just over 3 months away, it's time to see if Langport and Huish Episcopi residents have begun making their mind up on whether Britain should stay in or leave the Eurovision Song Contest.
Around 2000 people were questioned and 68% of them thought that it was time to "go it alone" saying that it "wasn't worth the trouble"
"When I first voted for The Painkillers in 1973, I thought I was joining a simple music competition" said Leader of Langport Town Council Janet Seaton...as she placed the needle on her 12 inch Brotherhood of Man, "but it's all just become so political"
However, Dame Shirley Nicholas, who chairs Huish Episcopi Parish Council, disagrees.
"We are stronger if we stay in" she said as she hoovered to Katrina and the Waves, "that way we can try to influence European music and get their foreign nonsense off the radio."
Dame Shirley also denied recent press reports that Councillor Seaton, pictured above at last month's Karaoke night at Kelways, was her Puppet on a String.
"Nonsense!" she said, "that's Graham Lock"
