Yeovilton Air Day

Italian Air Force spotted

People from the Langport area have been enjoying the international air day at RNAS Yeovilton today.

"Although it didn't seem that international..." said one man from Brooklands Road, "...all the European planes seemed to be leaving."

"That's right!" said a Courtfield woman, "my husband and I saw the Italian air force reversing over Pibsbury."

No change there then.

Our reporter also bumped into the new landlord and landlady of the Black Swan who were there enjoying time off from redecorating their new North Street premises.

"We've just been round the back of one of the hangars and bought a cheap crate of Exocet missiles" said the landlord, "...just in case we have any trouble from the Curry Rivel lot when we call last orders."

The pair, pictured above trying to smuggle their missiles out of the naval air station earlier today, also informed us that the new opening date for the pub is now Friday.
