New men's hair salon at Langport
Signs have appeared in the window of these well-known shop premises on Bow Street this month announcing the arrival, in November, of a new men's hair salon.
It'll be known as 'Bow Street Barbers'.
As Langporters well know, businesses don't appear to stay long at the Bow Street address.
"No no no...that's all superstitious nonsense!" said a spokesman at The Langport Chamber of Commerce, "the new tenants have nothing to fear!"
Former businesses there have included Woolworths, BHS, a Sinclair C5 showroom and a Betamax Video shop... even the ticket office for The Hindenburg rented it for a few weeks back in 1937.
One exception is of course Boilertec & Langport Hardware, which is now doing a roaring trade......ten doors up.
