To pee or not to pee?

Now wash your hands...

The town council has launched an opinion poll on the public toilets it pays for in the centre of Langport.

£10,000 of [our] taxpayers money is spent every year on maintaining the building which until around 2009 was paid for by and belonged to South Somerset District Council.

But Carry On Langport smells a rat, as do some of our readers...

"I hope they're not going to do away with them" said Dirty Gertie from Number 30, "I always have a tinkle in there just before thumbing through the scratchcards at One Stop"

Emma Swallows, who advertises on the back of the door in the men's, said she was also "deepy concerned"

The questionnaire itself, based on a multiple choice format, is fairly simple although some of the options underneath the first question are already raising a few eyebrows:

1. How often do you use Langport's public toilets?

Frequently
Often
Sometimes
Never
Only for the purposes of this survey
Further explanation:

"Filth" said a customer coming out of Pendra's Fish n Chips, "next thing you know they'll be asking which hand I use....further explanation??...It's a disgrace"

Anyone who wants a copy of the survey should contact councillor Val Saunders by e-mail:
