Well...just a few pictures really...
People are talking about "the river" and "the floods" today as we enter what looks like our 2nd or 3rd full day of incessant rainfall.
But us Langport and Huishers know only too well that this is nothing...the river's doing what it always does. It'll take a bit more rain and time for it to start spilling over - and then it only ever gets to the fields.
Nevertheless, for any townies who have their second homes in Langport and are concerned by daft automated (and totally over the top) messages from the Environment Agency...(apparently even people living up Bowdens get them)...here's the situation at Bow Bridge this morning (Tues)
Congratulations to the loan cyclist (centre) who appeared to get across without being HGV'd.
