Electric Car Charging at Langport
For some time now, Langport's first public electric car charging point has been pumping out the amps in the corner at Cocklemoor car park.
Its official launch is reported on page 5 of this week's award-winning Western Gazette and congratulations to the town council which secured a grant from the district council to pay for its installation.
Local green champion and Town Councillor Cara Naden, speaking from her gluten-free organic non-stick disposable tree house in Butleigh, tells the Gazette the charging point will be "free" until a time when enough cars have switched over to the system.
When's that then? - and who's paying for it at the moment? Us?
