New NHS clinic at Rose & Crown
This was the scene at a Huish Episcopi pub earlier this week where the village's new GP Surgery's first patients queued up to be treated by NHS staff.
"We treated them for a variety of complaints..." said Doctor Pittard, the practice manager...."including the brightness of some of the light bulbs and the price of a bottle of tonic"
But some of their ailments couldn't be cured.
"We couldn't do anything for one patient [later identified as the man in the flat cap] " said young trainee Nurse Bown, "I'm afraid he's got a severe case of holiday cottaging"
