Wyndham Arms 'evacuated'

Horror at Kingsbury

This was the horrific scene in the Wyndham Arms in Kingsbury Episcopi at the end of last week which triggered mass panic among diners and several calls to the emergency services.

Dozens of people ran for the doors screaming as the woman suddenly started gagging on her food.

Some locals were so frightened - they reportedly packed their bags, locked up their second homes and fled back to Surrey.

It happened on Friday night.

"It looked like she was having problems with her fishcake" said one eyewitness.

Only when a voice was heard shouting "cut!" did onlookers realise it was, in fact, part of filming for the remake of the 1979 blockbuster movie 'Alien'.

The production company apologised for alarming customers and offered free premiere tickets to everyone affected.

The film's due for general release in the autumn.

Pictured: actor John Hurt in a similar scene from the original film.

No fishcakes were injured while recording the remake.

There are no further details.
