Dear Carry On Langport,
Here at Somerton Rugby Club we were wondering if you could give us some coverage for our 1st XV game against Wells this Saturday. The match against the city's playgroup kicks off at 3pm.
Could we also put out an appeal for net curtains for across the back of our goal posts? We fear that with all the housing estates going up around us at present, we could be in danger of losing even more balls.
Could someone also ring up the clubhouse and ask if we're allowed in this season?

Dear Editor,
In light of the Hanging Chapel's current financial difficulties, I think I may have come up with the ideal solution.
What about installing a carwash through it? Its shape is perfect and traffic could come in from both ends.
Also, I think it would be a good opportunity to give my Brookland Road members their annual scrub as they march through every spring.

Dear Sir or Madam,
My girlfriend and I have been reading the LangFest17 posters about the 'walking carnival' between the rec and the town centre on the 15th of this month.
We are usually quite shy and never considered taking part - but then realised we usually go that way on a Friday night anyway at about a quarter to one in the morning when we leave the club.
Do you think the organisers would mind if we sang, threw up on a swing and stripped on the way down?
