"Just a few teething problems" says owner of new tanning booth
This was the scene in Langport yesterday afternoon as the new tanning bed at the Hair and Beauty Lodge suffered 'a power surge'
"I only put 50p in the slot" said the victim - a woman from Moor Park Road - "and suddenly the thing took on a mind of its own....I haven't had a roasting like that since my hen night"
Engineers think the power surge could've been caused when the landlady at the Black Swan, a few doors down, tried to put her husband's holiday speedos through an electric mangle - she's already been arrested.
"It's just a few teething problems" said Hair & Beauty Lodge owner Lisa Curtess, as she handed out free factor 565 on the door.
