Locals take part in medieval assault course at Sutton
Around a hundred people, many in fancy dress, competed in Grail Quest on Saturday morning - the annual medieval assault course on Walfords' farm at Long Sutton.
The 6-mile course featured a number of obstacles including deep water-filled muddy ditches, tunnels and hay bale jumping.
The finish line had two scrap cars in it, through which competitors had to climb in the back window and out through the windscreen.
The team from Langport and the surrounding villages were the 'Bootcamp Barbarians', pictured at the top of this report.
Things didn't begin too well, though, for the locals who collapsed after the 5-minute warm-up before they'd even started.
But they soon perked up when staff from Langport Surgery turned up with a crate of hemorrhoid cream:
It's believed the average time to get around the course was about an hour. There was food and drink and medals for all those who completed the quest.
Well done to all involved.
