Tiaras and tutus anyone?

Forget climate change, homelessness and Brexit...this is heavy:

Parents across the Langport area and surrounding villages with youngsters in Church of England schools are breathing a sigh of relief this week as official guidance from the Archbishop of Canterbury says their boys can dress up in tiaras and tutus.

"Thank goodness for that!" said one head mistress, "We've had the school fancy dress box locked up in the basement for years, now we can start using it again without fear of arrest"

"We had to do Cinderella in the dark last Christmas in case anybody disapproved of three of our boys dressed up as the ugly sisters" said another.

"Great to see the Church is focussing on the important stuff" said one head, as another holy war kicked off in the Middle East.

Tune in for more of the same next week when the Politically Correct Brigade orders nurseries across the UK to install litter trays in playgrounds for any 4 year-olds who think they're cats and bans Black Forest Gateau at the Langport Arms because it's racist.

News just in...

  - and in the last few minutes we've heard that the Langport Arms has lost its High Court case against the Euthanasia Society. The organisation had sued the award-winning hotel after management took Death by Chocolate off the menu earlier this year.

Ho ho ho
