Christmas Eve shocker

...as Theresa May and Michael Gove perform to the crowds at Eli's...

People from across Langport and Huish Episcopi flocked to the Rose & Crown last night to celebrate the night before Christmas.

It's a time of year when folk from all over the UK choose to spend the festive season in this part of the world...and it was no exception this year as - to the crowd's surprise - the Prime Minister and her hamster took to the main stage and began singing Christmas carols.

The pair, pictured, sang well into the night prompting complaints from champagne socialists living in Pibsbury and Coombe.

But everyone else seemed 'delighted', especially when the pair gave a selection of politically correct carols...never heard in these parts before.

They included  Oh Holiday Tree Oh Holiday Tree, I'll be home for a short period of time in December, Frosty the Snowperson and Chestnuts roasting on a safely-contained eco-friendly outdoor fire.

In other news...

We're getting reports a bottle of bleach was thrown up the walls in the downstairs bar in the Langport Arms last night.

 Three people were injured.

"It would've never happened on our watch" said Malcolm and Richard.

Merry Christmas readers.

Be good....and if you can't be good get it all on film and send it to me.
