Here he comes...

 Home Office reveals Santa's route

The Home Office has published details of the route Father Christmas will take over Langport and Huish Episcopi on the night of 24th December.

The map, pictured, is similar to last year's except that he won't be driving his sleigh and reindeer through the Hanging Chapel this year.

"Last year he hit it" said a Freemason, "and our presents were thrown everywhere.....
Bond's Pool residents were pulling inflatable dolls out of their bushes for weeks"

It means children living on the Hill will have to pick their gifts up from the One Stop on Christmas morning...unless of course you're a pikey in which case just ram raid the new cashpoint machine.

 In other news...

The first meeting of the all-new Langport Town Council took place this week including the 7 people voted onto the authority in the recent by election.

Several members of the public turned up including 4 former councillors who resigned in the Chapelgate scandal.

One of whom appeared to have an issue with Councillor Ian Macnab's [nothing to do with the council] River Parrett ferry boat service which he launched and ran this summer.

People in the public gallery are permitted to ask relevant questions at the start of meetings.

At next month's meeting it's believed the same individual will make another inquiry.....about donkey rides on Gibraltar.

There are no further details.
