The Council's Christmas tree dump has now opened in the back corner of Cocklemoor car park, it's there for a while so get down there and take advantage.
Believe it or not, last year somebody left an artificial tree there.
"They appear to have missed the point slightly" said Green campaigner and councillor Cara Naden, from her tree house in Butleigh.
Did you enjoy Langport Christmas lights? If so, maybe you've got time to go and help get'em down this Sunday. Volunteers are asked to turn up at the town hall at around 9am.

Those who put them up were treated to tea/coffee and biscuits in the town hall while they worked. We're hoping for the same when we take them down on Sunday please Clerk. Why don't you get your favourites in? We all love a good jammy dodger.
In other news...Langport's new phonebox / cashpoint machine has finally been plugged in. There's still no phone yet though and the machine isn't giving out money yet.
A spokeswoman for the firm which manages it, pictured, apologised for the delay saying she was still having "a few problems with the controls"

On the subject of money (and rather random) the owners of the old NatWest bank building are opening it to the public next Tuesday (9th) from 9am until 10am.
Isn't it marvellous...even the open day has reduced hours.
- and finally, a row's already broken out over the town's first proper bus shelter outside Travis Perkins as locals have to decide whether to call it "Langport bus shelter" or "Huish bus shelter"
(Bear in mind we say "Langport Tesco" but the sign on the school opposite reads "Huish Episcopi Primary")
Here we go again - I'll let you lot argue that one out.
