Farewell Fenella...

Britain loses another Carry On star.

Less than a week after the death of Carry On regular Liz Fraser, another star has joined her in the great comedy in the sky - Fenella Fileding who's died at the age of 90.

She had a fruitful career on stage and screen but nowadays is usually only seen in repeats of the two Carry Ons she appeared in: Regardless (1961) and Screaming (1966).

Who can forget that revealing red velvet outfit as she seduced a local detective in Carry On Screaming.

She was a regular guest on TV shows in the 60s and 70s, including an appearance with comedy greats Morecambe and Wise.

- and in her twilight years, Ms Fileding retired to Langport where she had a part-time job at the town hall.

Here she is with town clerk David Mears discussing how to revive council leader Val Saunders one night last summer...we're still not sure if Ms Saunders ever came round.

Farewell Fenella, thanks for the laughs and say hello to the team for us.
