River bank facelift?

Make sure you have your say...

Whether you're for, against or just curious - there's an open public meeting at the Wharf today (Tues) evening about making changes to the river bank between Bow Bridge, along Cocklemoor and down to Black Bridge (marked above).

The town council is applying for a £200,000 EU grant to pay for what it says will be a boardwalk from Cocklemoor down to Black Bridge, slipways for canoes and kayaks etc to get into the water, bird hides, more benches and new signage.

You may like the River Parrett experience just as it is, or you may be enthusiastic about the proposed changes.

Either way, get down to the Wharf for 'the town forum' this evening (Tues) for a 6 o'clock start to hear more about it and have your say.
