What next? How about a pissoir?
Six months after an Eastover woman blew it up in a daring attempt to get through to her sister in Westonzoyland...the novelty ATM/phonebox in the centre of town was taken away this week.
We're not sure if it's gone for good or if it's being repaired.
"If it's anything like the work on the town clock, it'll come back with some of the paintwork not finished and the bolts showing" said a One Stop customer.
Either way, Carry On Langport is delighted to see some progress on the situation.
It means the only 'classic' telephone box left on the streets of Langport & Huish - even though it's virtually derelict - is this one at the head of the Avenue:
Readers will be interested to learn that a small group of people once offered to clean it out, rub it down, prime it and paint it post office red again - just to make it look like it used to.
"No no no hang fire" said a town councillor at the time, "we've got plans for that"
- that was 3 years ago.
