North Street evacuated:
Almost 2 years after it exploded upstairs at the Black Swan, the pub's troublesome tumble drier went up again this evening causing widespread panic in part of Langport.
Screams could be heard as various items of underwear were catapulted up a dark alley opposite the Inn.
"We've had one of our busiest nights for a long time" said Catherine Wheeler, spokeswoman for the Priest Lane Ladies of the Night Union.
"Good job the property opposite was boarded up" said one Langporter, "they must've had advanced notice....like in 1987 or something"
Nobody's been injured and there are no further details.
