In case anybody's forgotten.....

That noise last night was people having fun!

This hotel, especially its upstairs ballroom and groundfloor courtyard, is an events venue.

It has been for centuries. Around here countless families have celebrated birthday, wedding and engagement parties there going back generations.

In fact it's been a focus for public gatherings way back to the 1400s when it was first mentioned in local records.

People having fun at gatherings of families and friends.

That's what the Langport Arms does [or did before the pandemic and all the shut-downs] just in case anybody's forgotten 👍

Same goes for The Black Swan, Eli's and other local venues and we wouldn't have it any other way.

While we're on the subject of people moving in to the area, saying they "love it" and then trying to start changing things.....another reminder:

Carry On Langport believes the vicar's jukebox [pictured] at Huish Episcopi will soon be plugged in again on a permanent basis.

Belting out the hits on Saturdays for weddings, Sundays for church services and some Wednesday evenings.

The one up at Langport may also ring out from time to time.

Normality's returning folks 👍

 Ding dong, carry on!
