Still waiting for clarification...

 New council leader for Langport?

Not Quite!

In a recent post on Carry On Langport's Facebook page we suggested that our town council's new leader could be this man [pictured] but after further checks it appears it could be this individual instead:

It follows the decision by former council leader Stephen Tate to stand down, he remains a town councillor.

Our reporters here at Carry On Langport are on the phone this morning requesting an official photograph of new chairman, 35 year-old Combe man Sean Dromgoole, and we'll let you know as soon as he gets off the phone with Sir Keir.

IN OTHER NEWS...

Attempted Coup at Huish?

Meanwhile, we understand that Shirley Nicholas has kept hold of her position as chair of Huish Episcopi Parish Council....after what we believe was a minor earthquake in the chamber in recent days.

Dame Shirley - pictured here telling the Editor of Carry On Langport to 'get his facts right' - reportedly dusted herself off, beat off the competition and carried on governing.

There are no further details.
