Police have confirmed two fossil hunters were arrested in a restricted part of Langport yesterday morning.
Bill Langford and Nick Holland, neither of whom can be named for legal reasons, were found going through the rubble up Priest Lane, the currently closed off footpath connecting the top part of Langport to North Street.
Mr Holland told Carry On Langport "we'd heard about another recent collapse on the Jurassic Coast so packed up the car and set off"
"But it looks like we typed Langport in to the SatNav instead of Bridport" added Mr Langford.
The fossil hunters, who've been looking for their O Level results since 1958, were remanded in custody until a later date.
