In true Carry On Langport style, reports on the current local road upheaval have remained light-hearted, silly and just plain daft.
So how sad to hear about the reaction a young couple, with a baby on board, received when the car they were in suffered an electrical fault and broke down at the entrance to the Hanging Chapel this morning.
Stuck in the middle of the road with the hazards on, they were shouted at and angrily beeped at for several minutes and only eventually offered help from people living nearby who came out to help and moved some signs to let vehicles get by.
Incidents like these probably take place every day somewhere in England but not nice to see it happening on our patch eh.
Hey ho there ya go, that's the human race for ya!
Everybody's alright now though and a big thumbs up to those nearby residents who came out to help at the Chapel this morning!
