And There's More!

Within days of Carry On Langport's recent 'Letters To The Editor' article, more e-mails and messages have filled up our inbox so let's take another look at a handful of more of your recent correspondence:

😊

Dear Sir,

Having taught cats for at least 3 years at Huish Academy can I say how delighted I am that youngsters identifying as eggs have now arrived at the circus.

We have a selection of scrambled, fried and boiled classes going on this autumn so if any locals could donate spoons, giant whisks or boiling water to sort the misguided little bastards out, we would be most grateful.

Yours,

Mrs McClusky

To Carry On Langport,

We are about to re-open what was once a very popular venue on the Old Kelways estate.

Staff have been recruited and we've got the bar stocked up but we just can't come up with a name for the place.

What do your readers think?

Thai Rumours or Mango Tapas?

Let us know.

Regards.

Mr & Mrs Fawlty, Torquay.

Dear Madame,

Could I take this opportunity to apologise to all our friends and acquaintances in the Langport and Somerton area.

My family and I and our highly successful 2nd home air B&B cafe serving non dairy drinks and a cup of coffee for 9 quid have decided we won't be moving to the area after all.

We were initially very keen but then realised you didn't have a local railway station (only 5 others about 30 minutes away) and so we couldn't possibly relocate to your backward little area.

How have you even survived all these years?

Regards,

Margo and Jerry Leadbetter.

To that bloke who does the local blog,

Could I just thank all your readers for their cooperation this year in helping my colleagues and I deliver their parcels from E-bay.

Especially those in Courtfield who've had to take theirs to Portland Road, Garden City residents who've received Meadow Close's parcels and Ashley House....whose panty pads are regularly dropped off at Portcullis.

We couldn't do it without them!

Many thanks.

All the staff at Evri.

Dear Sir,

Could I just say a big thank you to the Langport & Huish Memorial Trust for hiring us to extend their changing rooms at the sports & social club.

Sorry we haven't finished it yet, we're quite busy at the moment still trying to put right a few problems at Pisa in Italy and after that we've got a little apology to make to Harland & Wolff in Liverpool.

We would've tried to do some more work yesterday [Sat] but we had to drive to Croydon to watch Langport play at home against Stoke-sub-Hamdon.

Many thanks.

Name & address provided

PS - Jokes aside, it wasn't actually us that cocked this one up. Just saying.

😁

That's it for now folks, thanks for the contributions and carry on reading!
