With Somerset commercial broadcasters like Orchard FM, Ivel FM and Midwest Radio long gone [taken over and then closed down by Heart, The Breeze & Greatest Hits Radio to name but a few] a few independent ones are still out there fighting the good fight and flying the flag for local radio
Radio Ninesprings comes out of a studio in Yeovil on FM and online.
It's also there on your smart speaker.
Possibly not everyone's cup of tea but if you like local info - sport, pub live music gig listings, events - from local presenters who don't talk about Love Island, Emmerdale & Traitors every 20 minutes then maybe give it a go.
Radio Ninesprings also has more than 30 records and doesn't ask you to text in to win £150,000 every 20 minutes either.
Maybe even give Saturdays a go, one of Langport's very own is in the chair from 9am till midday every Saturday
😁
If you want to advertise an event, it's free.
Go to radioninesprings.com, click on 'events calender' and click on 'add event' and type in the details, then the presenters read it out on air from time to time throughout the day.
If you want to advertise your business, as in be part of the station's ad breaks, e-mail info@radioninesprings.com
It's far far cheaper than most people think.
Radio Ninesprings, still flying the flag for local radio!
