The Verdict:
A great venue, a huge turn-out and perfect weather saw hundreds of people turn out at the new carboot sale at Langport this afternoon.
Let's wish the event well which we understand may be every other Sunday.
And let's congratulate a handful of local buyers who got what they were after...
SEEN CARRYING BARGAINS HOME THIS AFTERNOON:
"I found at least 8 old town council litter bins" said an Eastover woman, "and 3 dog poo bins..." she added, "one of them was still warm"
"I was delighted to find 4 old PE crash mats from the old Comprehensive" said Debbie Fawlty at The Langport Arms, "I'll be strapping them round the new porch this summer"
Several shoppers said they even found some of the missing checkout staff from Tesco.
And Finally
One bashful looking couple were spotted leaving with a pop-up tent.
"Thank goodness for that" said one of the young men "we can only apologise after being caught copulating in the toilets at a Huish Episcopi venue last Bank Holiday weekend"
"We wouldn't normally have behaved like that after an afternoon drinking on a Sunday night...it's just that apart from the cubicle we got caught in....nothing else was open"
"But now we've got this pop-up, well it won't happen again, we'll erect it on Courtfield Green"
[You're forgiven boyz]
That's your Sunday bulletin folks!
Thanks for the contributions and carry on reading!
