'Meat and two veg' arrested.
A major incident was declared at Langport Tesco this morning when this potato was accidentally grabbed with both hands by a Curry Rivel pensioner in the Malt Loaf display. Eye-witnessess say the 69 year-old woman screamed and then fell on top of the offending King Edward before passing out in to the nearby marrow display...injuring herself even further. It took gynaecologists 3 hours to release her before she was taken to A&E in Yeovil.
Reports are still coming in but we understand 3 Tesco veg handlers bought the potato from the 'banned entries' section at Fivehead Flower Show last weekend - they've been arrested.
The Manager of Langport Tesco - pictured above helping the Curry Rivel pensioner into the ambulance this morning - said he would be "looking in to" what had happened.
