Late night latest...

In stores now!

At least a hundred people turned out to see Langport Town Council/Trust face the music this evening at a packed meeting at Great Bow Wharf.

The parish poll went through which means the district council now organises an official referendum requested by local electors on the extent of the powers of the town trust.

Everyone (even the Wharf's resident doormouse) seemed to acknowledge the public feeling in the town apart from Mrs Seaton and a handful of the councillors who support her who remained stoney-faced and 'outraged' as the public - for once - had their say.

"Better than Eastenders" said one woman, as she went on Trivago and booked her seat for next month's town council meeting.

There are no further details yet - our news team is in bed.
