Local man 'critical'
A Rose and Crown customer's in intensive care after a freak accident in the pub's top room last night.
It's reported the victim suffered internal injuries after leaning against the fruit machine just as someone hit the 'nudge' button.
The screams could be heard half a mile away.
"We thought Mary Coombes had reopened" said a Portland Road resident.
There are no further details.
