Halfway House - high - getting worse
5 people have been killed and 9 are missing after another 'afternoon of tragedy' in an award-winning pub car park at Pitney.
The latest victims disappeared in the icy waters of Lake Phillips (above left) at the Halfway House just after lunchtime today.
"I think a pike had them" said an eyewitness, "it was all over in seconds"
Hours later, one survivor was found blowing a whistle, floating on a door with a priceless diamond in her pocket.
It comes just a day after a drinker from the 1990s was dragged under into this waterway (above) just south of Lake Phillips.
He was heard screaming "these pot holes aren't as good as they used to be" as he went down.
"Neither's the car park lighting at night mate" said a spokesman for HM Coastguard at Pitney Harbour.
