WEDNESDAY BULLETIN

After a long roost, look who's waking up tomorrow...

Welcome back to The Black Swan which opens its doors again tomorrow [Thurs] at 4pm.

Bigger better beer garden by the looks of it with some exceptional local art - a mural - on one of the exterior walls. Lick of paint inside too.

It's Mike & Jo Dandy's 5th anniversary of having the pub so it's a double celebration with live music on Saturday night and Avon and Somerset Fire Brigade performing a reenactment of 'tumble dryer night' on the Sunday

Great to have the old place back and we wish it well.

What else is going on?

Remember that sale down Union Drove that was cancelled a few weeks ago when a Monsoon hit?

It's back on!

It's the track down the side of the old workshouse or the egg factory - depending on which century you were born in....

and if you like other people's junk, table top sales, carboot sales - that sort of thing - there's another sale happening on Cocklemoor....and this one's got a bar and music 😊😊😊

SAVE THE DATE!

Basically a carboot but without the cars! There's a space issue with vehicles on grass so sellers will have to unload but then move over to the adjacent car park.

Not til the end of June though but stick it on your kitchen calendar...organisers say stalls will cost a fiver.

If you want to have one, message Carry On Langport's Facebook Page or e-mail bountybar@hotmail.com putting 'CARBOOT' in the subject box

👍

LANGPORT RESIDENTS 'IN SHOCK'

Several people were found dazed and confused on Bow Street earlier this week after they'd heard 3 new businesses had launched in the area...but they're not hair salons or cafes.

"It's just not right" complained one traumatised shopper, "not natural".

An investigation's underway into the 'rogue traders' which include a clothes shop on the ground floor of the old Lloyds Bank premises...

A new meals-on-wheels service launching early next month...

and there's a new local cleaner on the block too...

Maybe they all do hair and coffee on the side?

And Finally....

The Government's refusing to comment on claims there was a nuclear explosion over North Street 2 Sunday mornings ago.

It's believed the blast took place when a local man living just metres away, hoping for his only lie-in of the week, stormed out in his boxer shorts after being awoken by supermarket staff using a leaf-blower at 6:30am

It's not known if there were any survivors and there are no further details.

Just before we go.....
