So how does a swimmer get out?

Hmmmmm.....

Keep hearing poppycock about birds and bees.....sorry but here in Langport we don't really care if the Smurfs are living on the riverbank or if the Moomins have been asked to clear it.

You cannot encourage people to use the water at Cocklemoor by installing pontoons and steps etc and then not make it safe.

At least two incidents so far of swimmers/paddleboard users on the river there in trouble but who couldn't be seen by people on the bank due to a 4-5-6 foot high wall of weed [that the town council was warned about last summer and again this spring]

The birds and the bees can use the other 100 miles of the Parrett banks but unless you want a court case on your hands along the very public section....sort it out!

In other news...

Carboot sale, music, boat rides, circus act & burger tea/coffee van all on Cocklemoor this Sunday from 12.

[not sure why we're using a picture of the local Launderette for this feature]

Organisers say they won't cancel if just drizzle but will if the wind blows in and it turns nasty!

👍

IMPORTANT BLOGGER NOTICE

As previously posted, blogspot.com - the free service which helps Carry on Langport put out this blog - is cancelling its e-mail notification system in July. This means those readers who rely on an e-mail to let you know when there's a new post will no longer get it. You'll have to check manually or use Facebook.

Out of my hands. Sorry.
