Langport Tesco has announced a plan to take the workload off staff by making it easier to put prices up each week.
Instead of having to go around changing labels on shelving manually, the store's having petrol-pump style screen read-outs installed underneath hundreds of its products.
"We're delighted" said a spokeswoman for the Langport supermarket, "now we can add 30p to a loaf of bread and call it 'the Aldi Price Match' in the flick of a switch!"
It's believed Tesco has already signed a contract for the supply of the new 'price pump read-outs' with a local filling station which is selling some of its old machines off.
In fact, they all shook on the deal this afternoon:
Marvellous.
You heard it here first folks!
