LANGPORT & HUISH EPISCOPI POLL ENDS
The great local survey ended last week as both Huish Episcopi and Langport councils asked us, the ones who pay council tax, what we think the future of our two inter-twined communities should be.
Just a reminder, that's Langport Town Council which has just increased its precept - the slice of what it takes from our monthly council tax bills - by 17% .
A handful of Carry On Langport readers have been in touch to say that they took part in the poll but were disappointed that there was no section of the survey where they could make their own suggestions including that Langport Town Council should possibly 'just spend our money on running the town' rather than go on with some of its expensive 'fancy pants' ideas.
Especially if money is tight eh?
