Parrett wildlife excitement

Evidence of rare species found at Black Bridge

This photograph of evidence a rarely-seen species could be living on the banks of the River Parrett has gone viral on the internet.

It's caused excitment among scientists who believe it could have been dropped by a small-brained creature whose common name is the lesser-spotted dirty bastard.

"We're considering installing motion-sensor night-time cameras to see if we can actually film it" said Sir David Attenborough, pictured above telling the manager at Portcullis House all about it.

But as usual, not everyone's impressed.

"What?!" said Dirty Gertie from Number 30, ..."that bridge is the only place me and Albert get any privacy"

It's believed the couple have now relocated their nocturnal activities to Priest Lane.

Wildlife experts say anyone who does spot the rare animal shouldn't approach it, but find out where it lives and leave household rubbish in its nest daily for the next six weeks.

There are no further details.
